Dear Friends

In the weeks ahead the mission partnership councils will be involved in discussions about the future of our church buildings across the Diocese.  Their task is to put together a set of recommendations for the Bishop with regard to their particular mission partnership.  Each church building will need to be given a specific designation as follows:

A – Parish Hub Church – churches deemed to be essential to the mission of God on the island

B – Community Mission Churches – These churches may be kept but should not be supported from central funds

C – Heritage Churches – These have a clear architectural/heritage value but struggle to be sustainable

D – Churches at a ‘Crossroads’ – These are churches where radical change needs to happen.

Please pray for the Mission Partnership Councils in their deliberations. Full details of the Diocesan strategy can be found on the Diocesan Website.

With all God’s blessings, Alessandra

Prayers for Daily Life – Trinity

O God, the creator and preserver of all,

we pray for people in every kind of need;

make your ways known on earth,

your saving health among all nations …

We pray for the Church;

guide and govern us by your good Spirit,

that all who profess and call themselves Christians

may be led into the way of truth,

and hold the faith in unity of spirit,

in the bond of peace and in righteousness of life …

We commend to your fatherly goodness

all those who are any ways afflicted or distressed,

in mind, body or estate;

comfort and relieve them in their need,

give them patience in their sufferings,

and bring good out of all their afflictions …

We remember those who have gone before us

in the peace of Christ,

and we give you praise for all your faithful ones,

with whom we rejoice in the communion of saints …

All this we ask for Jesus Christ’s sake.

All   Amen
